Community Impact

GEHCRC has successfully completed numerous community improvement projects, including:

Partnering with the local food bank to distribute food and emergency assistance during times of crisis.
Collaborating with Trees For Houston to plant 150 trees along the Mesa Road corridor in NE Houston.
GEHCRC gave away 2000 fruit trees in 2026 in collaboration with Trees for Houston.
Implementing public art and mural projects on neighborhood electrical utility boxes.
Supporting community beautification and neighborhood revitalization efforts throughout Greater East Houston.
